Kyle retired from the Army in 2022 after 20 years of service and has been on the frontlines of every American kinetic conflict since 9/11—spending time in the Infantry and Special Forces. Kyle spent most of his military career as a Special Operator within the United States Special Operations Command. Of all his experiences in the Service, one of the most challenging days was reacting to a terrorist attack on the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bamako, Mali, on 20 November 2015. Responding to this attack and the lessons learned throughout his career helped him form his training company, Blu Bearing Solutions, whose primary mission is to train Law Enforcement and Private Citizens on an appropriate response to an Active Threat situation.

Blake enlisted in the United States Army in 2010 and completed Infantry and airborne training. He was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC with the 82nd Airborne Division. Blake deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and was subsequently awarded the Military Purple Heart after sustaining life-threatening and life-changing injuries in combat. He spent two years learning to walk and talk again while finishing his contract with the military. After leaving the military, Blake joined the Fayetteville Police Department. He worked as a detective with the department's gun, gang, and cartel unit. Blake was selected as a member of his agency's SWAT team, where he participated in countless operations that included High Risk Search Warrants, High Risk Fugitive Apprehensions, Vehicle Assaults, Armed Barricaded individuals, Dignitary Protection, Riot Control, and Hostage Rescue. Primarily an assaulter, Blake was qualified as a Police Sniper and deployed as such on multiple operations.

Jenay DeCaussin is the current female Tactical Games National Champion. She stepped into TTG in 2022 from competitive CrossFit, and TTG provided a bridge for her to learn how to shoot and like many of our ambassadors uses a Staccato pistol. She was incredibly passionate about learning to protect herself and joining a community that was rooted in freedom, service, and hard work. She works full time as a CrossFit coach alongside being an athlete. She has said she competes to honor God in the gifts He has given her, and for the incredible mentors she has had selflessly invest in her.

Katie Knight is a top athlete known for her success in endurance sports, including winning the 2021 World's Toughest Mudder and the 2022 GORUCK Games. Based in Boulder, Colorado, she trains extensively in both strength and endurance disciplines. From CrossFit, to ultramarathons, The Tactical Games, 24hr obstacle course races, and hybrid competitions, Katie has become a successful all around athlete. Katie enjoys trail running, mountain biking, fishing, shooting her bow and spending time with her red golden retriever, Doug.

Sully retired from the Seal teams in 2020 after nearly two decades of service in the Special Operations community. After six years at SEAL Team Two, he joined the Naval Special Warfare Development Group. In a 12-year stint with the NSWDG, he conducted missions pursuing high-value targets and conducting hostage rescue operations worldwide. Prior to retirement, Sully completed a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership at the University of Charleston, WV. Today, he is founder of the Community First Project, a non-profit designed to improve community safety by providing no-cost training to police officers and law enforcement agencies. Additionally, Sully is founder and president of BlueForce Strategies, providing intelligence and security solutions to select individual and corporate clients.

Greg Retired from 20 years US Navy service as a SEAL in 2017. 16 years of his service was as a TIER1 operator at Naval Special Warfare Development Group. He conducted 14 combat deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and several other missions worldwide.  Currently Greg owns a contracting service training Law Enforcement and DOD personnel and has started Brainwave Neuro Performance Center in Tucson, AZ. Using MeRT, noninvasive magnetic brain stimulation, Brainwave treats cognitive issues stemming from Traumatic Brain Injury, PTSD, Depression, Autism, addiction, sleep disorders as well as brain optimization and more.

Rachel graduated from The Citadel, in Charleston, South Carolina. At The Citadel she played Division I volleyball and earned her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice. Upon graduation, she joined the Charleston Police Department where she served for 7 years. During her time at Charleston Police Department she was assigned to Special Investigations (SIU) as a Narcotics Detective and a Firearms Instructor. After years of being part of a team, she began CrossFit, eventually becoming a CrossFit Games Regional athlete.  Rachel then began her current career as a Federal Agent, and is now the first woman to serve on a high-level tactical team in the organization.

A passionate advocate for health, fitness, and outdoor adventure with over two decades of service as a professional firefighter paramedic, Julie has dedicated her life to protecting and supporting others since 1999. As she prepares for retirement in 2026, her mission will continue through her and K9 Kilos work with the Peer Crisis Response K9 Team, offering critical support to first responders nationwide in conjunction  with the IAFF and Florida Fire Marshal’s Office. Julie leads by example inspiring others to embrace challenges, push past limits, and live boldly.

Erin Switzer is excited to join the Born Primitive team. He comes from a special operations background with 20+ yrs experience, originating as a Reconnaissance Marine. He is an avid outdoorsman and back country hunter, with a passion for extreme sports including skydiving, dirtbikes, street bikes, and snowboarding. His background and passion for these activities makes him an asset in testing and evaluating our products to ensure they are functional, comfortable, and capable of withstanding the activities of our customers.

Jeffrey Thompson is a highly decorated veteran with over a decade of distinguished service in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC). Jeff has served in diverse theaters, including Afghanistan, Germany, and Colombia, where his contributions were recognized with honors such as the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and Combat Infantryman Badge. Jeffrey is also a Shooting and CQB Instructor, dedicated to passing on his expertise to the next generation of professionals. In 2018, Jeffrey founded Subsecond LLC, a leader in the industry for tactical gear and belts. Subsecond has set the benchmark for innovation, quality, and customization, empowering military personnel, law enforcement, and competitive shooters worldwide. Subsecond products are proudly handmade in the USA, reflecting the dedication and craftsmanship that Jeffrey embodies in every aspect of his career.

Jordan Sessions is a Firefighter/Paramedic from Austin, Texas. From a young age, Jordan has always been a force of nature, driven by a competitive spirit that first took shape through her background in dance. As a competitive dancer, Jordan faced many obstacles but also experienced countless successes that shaped her life’s trajectory. But her journey didn’t stop on the dance floor—it was only the beginning. In 2022, Jordan found a new calling in public service, becoming a first responder in Texas. The role perfectly aligned with her drive, combining physical endurance with a deep desire to serve her community. When the sirens aren’t blaring, you’ll find Jordan in the gym or out in nature, tackling new challenges with the same intensity she brings to her work. As a fitness enthusiast, Jordan thrives on pushing her body to its limits. Travis served for 20 years as a Navy SEAL at SEAL Teams 1 & 5 and the Navy’s tier one Special Mission Unit. He deployed on both combat and contingency operations in response to our nation's requirements throughout his career as an operator. Travis was instrumental in developing force on force training guidelines for all of Naval Special Warfare. Travis is continuing to serve as a civilian by consulting and training military and Law Enforcement special mission units across the country.

Jason retired from the Australian Army in 2022 with 21 years of service. After a stint in the Infantry, Jason spent 17+ years as a Special Operator in Australia's only Special Mission Unit - the Special Air Service Regiment (SASR). During his service, he deployed on more than 20 operational deployments; including domestically, SE Asia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa, and elsewhere. He was fortunate to be selected for an exchange program for two years in the US with NSWDG, where he was able to cross level TTPs and lessons learnt. He has a passion for developing realistic training to enhance operational capabilities and has strong links to state and federal tactical law enforcement teams in Australia. Since retirement, he continues to provide training to military and law enforcement in Australia and across the globe.

Jeremy and Jackie Yedesko, a husband and wife team since 2007, share their passion together for fitness and competitive shooting and are the owners of Full Auto Fitness in Greenville, SC. They bring over a decade of coaching experience, combining expertise in CrossFit, Weightlifting, and Gymnastics and both have earned podium finishes in tactical athlete competitions. Together, they created the Sawmill Showdown, a functional fitness 2 gun competition held at the amazing Sawmill Tactical Training Complex. Jeremy and Jackie are not only competitors but also ambassadors of the sport, promoting a lifestyle where fitness and competitive shooting intertwine.

Aiyana is an avid shooter, fitness enthusiast, and a dedicated force in the outdoor and tactical industries. Professionally, she specializes in managing corporate liabilities, with a proven track record of saving corporations millions of dollars through strategic precision. Off the clock, Aiyana thrives in high-performance environments. Whether tearing up the track on her sport bike, carving down snowy slopes, or mastering tactical skills, she approaches every challenge with the same relentless focus and intensity. For her, these aren’t just hobbies—they’re a way of life, built on pushing boundaries, embracing discipline, and always staying mission-ready.

Jonathan Menocal is an active law enforcement officer with the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office- one of the largest local law enforcement agencies in the country. Since 2018, he has served in various roles, including Uniform Patrol, the General Investigations Unit, Crime Suppression Team, and currently the Special Response Team (SRT). The SRT is the largest full-time SWAT team in the Southeast region, handling all critical incidents beyond the scope of patrol officers such as high-risk search warrants, barricaded subjects, dignitary protection, active shooter incidents, and natural disaster rescues. Jonathan’s roles within the team include explosive breacher, sniper, and lead firearms instructor. With extensive tactical experience in both law enforcement and private security, Jonathan also provides specialized tactical and advanced firearms instruction nationwide and internationally. He is an NRA and FDLE-certified firearms instructor and an active competitive shooter in the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), where he holds the rank of Grand Master in the Limited Optics Division. Jonathan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University and was a nationally ranked competitor in the NPC Men's Physique division during his undergraduate years.

Mike spent over 9 years in Naval Special Warfare with extensive combat operations experience in Iraq and Afghanistan. He served as a JTAC, Intelligence Analyst, Lead Breacher, Communications Specialist and various other qualifications for his team. He spent his last 3 years in the Navy teaching combat shooting and helping to develop the modern-day Combatives program at the Basic Underwater Demolition School (BUDS). He has trained thousands of military members, government employees, law enforcement, and civilians. He has an MBA from University of California, San Diego and a Bachelors from Boston University.
